The 2.5kW/hr/day solar energy solution is a self contained unit intended for small power applications. Intended for rural applications where no Eskom grid exists. A structure with 880W of solar panels provides the energy to charge the sealed crystal batteries contained in the power unit. A MPP charge controller ensures that the maximum charge is extracted from the solar source. An energy controller dispenses a programmed amount of energy every hour and the energy gauge tells the user how much energy is left at any time. A battery monitor is included that monitors the battery condition every second to ensure that the set parameters are not exceeded. The life expectancy of the battery is in excess of 1200 cycles. Full GSM monitoring allows the system to be checked on a daily basis from a remote location.

4 Day Autonomy |
The 5kW/hr/day solar energy system is intended for rural households where appliances such as a two plate cooker, fridge, lighting and television are required. The unit with solar structure is located outside the dwelling and a small distribution board is located inside the main house. An energy monitor located on the distribution board advises the user of the amount of energy left for use. A high capacity battery bank is employed that will operate the system for 4 days even if low sunshine days are experienced. A special solar structure is employed that carries 1600W of solar panels and the MPPT charger inside the cabinet ensure that maximum charge is obtained from the sun.

The 10kW/hr/day solar energy system has been designed for dwellings that require higher power levels for longer periods. Two 5kW solar structure are combined giving a total of 3500W of solar panels and a total of 1000AH of battery at 48VDC. An Energy dispenser has been included to allow specific amount of energy to be used over a 24hr period. An energy meter will show the user how much energy is left in the system. Full battery monitoring prevents the battery from being used outside its warranty parameters. A GSM link will alert the user of any alarms that may be experienced on the system.
